Friday on the Road

Friday we drove to Belton to attend the awards chapel at UMH-B. Grandson Andy was awarded the Townsend scholarship from the Alumni Association. Jeff has some good pictures.

On our return trip we stopped in Temple to check out the train station. My what big drivers you have!




David was ready to stoke the boiler.




Elizabeth wanted to control the steam valves.



Sue Ellen has some good pictures including the model train display inside the depot. We had eaten Bar-B-Q in Belton and I was getting sleepy after our train visit so I closed my eyes for a few minutes while SE drove us through Temple. When I opened my eyes I could see the water tower in Grandview! She must have driven really fast!
