Hotter Than Hot!

I thought it was supposed to be cool in northern California!! Not this week. The wind - what little there is - is coming right off the desert. The night time and early morning is pleasant but the afternoons are extremely hot. The sun seems to burn your face in just a few seconds of exposure. The weather pattern will surely change the day we leave. The heat will shift to the south central states!

This morning we went to a farmers market in nearby Clayton. There was lots of activity as residents bought fresh fruits and veggies. We had fresh garden salad for lunch that AC made from her purchase. She also bought some p-p-cots (peach, plum, apricot cross). They were quite good.

Everything is dead and brown now. Earlier in the year they were beautiful and green in color.
