The third week-end in April is the time for the largest garage sale in Texas extending along highway 4 from Cleburne to Grandview and along FM 916 from Grandview to Maypearl.

The weather was perfect on Friday as the sale began. The sky was clear, the temperature was warm and the flowers were in bloom.

Bargain hunters began arriving early in the day.
Not many dealers had a whole house full of treasures!

Bargains were available.

Elizabeth took it all in.

We decided to clean out our video cabinet.






What is a garage sale without used clothing?

After several inquiries, Lynne decided to sell some of her flowers.

Others did their own harvesting of Vinca ground cover plants.

There were free puppies looking for a good home.

I made a trip to the bank in Maypearl. The streets were alive with activity.

The streets of Auburn were busy all day.

Numerous serious shoppers came with trailers to haul away the bargains.

The highlight of the day was this shopper driving a little convertible filled to capacity with treasure!

Saturday will be another day!
