Week-end Visit

We made a short, 2 day visit with David and Sue Ellen. Alan was still in GV finishing up some FD stuff when we left.

Monday we visited the mall and saw a huge stuffed bear. Here is David and Mom in front of the bear.

San Angelo had a major water break and the entire southwest section was out of water. This included the major restaurant area as well as the shopping centers and several schools. The announcements on TV for closed schools was like a bad weather day in the metroplex.

We left David's house Tuesday morning as he left for MDO. Our drive home took longer because of the fog and drizzle that we encountered all the way. Visibility was less than a half mile most of the time and sometimes only a few hundred feet.

Remember the oversize load that we saw in Ballinger on an earlier trip?

This time we had to wait on a truck carrying part of a wind turbine tower to make the corner.

Ballinger must be the crossroad for oversize trucks!

If you'd go on up to Coleman, you'd see a big pile of those things where they're finishing the inside of them.
