Another Grandpa Venture
Tonight after supper we drove to Grandview for milk and continued on west across the bridge at Kimbell Bend and south to Whitney Dam. The lake level was high at Kimbell Bend. Some drift was beginning to accumulate against the bridge which means the water level was up to the trusses under the roadway.
At Soldier's Bluff the water was calm and the sky was dark with a light drizzle falling.

None of the flood gates were open but water was leaking past the sides of the gates. Turn up your speakers to get the full effect of the power in this scene.

As we approached Grandview on our return the clouds lifted and the sun gave us a brilliant display.
