DFW National Cemetery

Mary Thomas buried her father at the DFW National Cemetery on Wednesday. The service is conducted at a permanent shelter below a huge flag flying at half staff. After the formal military flag folding Sydni, a grand daughter, played Taps on her trumpet and Dave, a son-in-law, gave the message. Because of the high volume of burials here each family is allowed only 20 minutes at the shelter for their service.

The following pictures I took around the area as we drove back to the front gate. This is really an impressive place. It makes us aware of the cost of freedom.
