Another Miss!

Friday about 10:45 am when I drove past Jeff's mailbox I saw a deer standing in the middle of the road. He was about 75 yds. south of the mailbox. As I approached he jumped the fence, ran about 400 yds. into the adjoining pasture and stopped to watch me. I stopped to watch him! We had a standoff for several minutes. He watched me, stomped his hoof, took a step, watched me and then trotted off into the distance. Guess where my camera was. :-( -- Not with me!

Another Winter Day

The precipitation was a surprise for even the weather man this morning. They thought it would all stay south of our area -- SURPRISE!! Between 3 am and 7 am we had freezing rain, snow and sleet. The ground still is not frozen but it is cold enough that the snow stayed around all day except on the black-top roads.
