Is Mason A Brand of Jar?

Apparently not! At least I am unable to find any indication that it is a brand. John L. Mason invented the glass canning jar but I can find no reference to a company by that name. Several different companies have produced "mason" or "fruit" jars for home canning. Kerr and Ball are two of the most common brands.

Looking Ahead

Tomorrow (Wednesday) I go to the lab for routine blood work at 8:15. This has to be done every 6 months in order to get renewals for my cholesterol meds.

Afterwards I will pick up some fingerling largemouth bass at the feed store in Cleburne. These will go into the new lake at the North Place. Shhhh! Don't tell any fishermen about these fish.

With a heavy fog in the air this morning the multitude of spider webs around our house were glistening in the early morning light.
