Remember the Texas Coastline

Earlier this summer we drove from Galveston to Port Author along the highway that hugs the coastline. Both Grandma and I were amazed that so many people had built here only a few feet above the level of the gulf.



This picture shows the road we drove on the Bolivar Peninsula.



Google "last house standing in Gilchrist" for some really interesting stories from the storm. This house was built 3 years ago designed for a cat 5 hurricane!
