Thursday

This has been a good day. It started out a little down but changed into a good one. I had a queezy tummy for a while and a drowsy time while in Burleson with SE. The rest of the day turned out good - feeling better than most days.
Tuesday in Mineral Wells

How does one pronounce the name of this place?

A museum with free admission? Now that's for me!

Ours looked almost like the one on the right.

Plenty of rub boards in this collection.

These "washing machines" are a little before my time.

I have used a cross cut saw like the one on the bottom.

I'm not sure what these are. Could they be dashers from butter churns?

I do recognize this seat from a two-holer. Looks almost like the one we had.

Southern Traction Company

Before good roads were built and cars became affordable to the masses the interurban was the preferred way to travel to Dallas and Ft. Worth as well as other cites around north Texas. This restored car of the Southern Traction Company is on display near downtown Corsicana.

The wheels were gear driven by an electric motor but the motor is no longer a part of this partially restored car.
