Warm Weather Has Returned!
One week ago tonight our temperature was 25 degrees. Today officially we recorded a high of 87 degrees while the thermometer in the car read 90. The grass is turning green and the cows are happy. The daffodils seem to be happy also.
Remember this is what those plants looked like exactly one week ago!
After leaving the Tsui house we found the freeway that would take us back to Walnut Creek. However I was in the lane that went to Oakland and couldn't change lanes soon enough. It seemed that we drove for miles before finding a crossover. It was lunch time and someone needed a bathroom so we stopped for lunch (in Oakland's Chinatown). Lauren got some good pictures that you can see here.
There was lots of traffic so we drove very slowly through Chinatown with time to look at the unique architecture. Delivery trucks were unloading produce in the streets for the sidewalk markets and the stoplight was out at one intersection which really slowed the traffic flow.
Soon we found a way back onto the freeway and took the correct lane for Walnut Creek this time.
Ann Carol worked today. Glenn had errands to run. Jordann went to school. Lauren skipped school to go with us. We drove our little blue car to Berkeley where we visited the UC campus. If you can imagine the Austin area around UT but just more of it that is UC Berkeley! Lauren handled the camera while I drove. Here are the pictures that Lauren took.
Next we went to see a home that I had read about in Berkeley. The web page gives the technical specs of the house. I plan to list it in the unusual building section of waymarking.com. We stopped here so I got a few pictures with my low res camera.
