Changing

Fall colors are rapidly appearing since our frost a few days ago. Most of our trees are Hackberry which only turn slightly yellow then loose their leaves. I have seen lots of leaves falling today. The poison ivy along the roadsides is now really making a splash of color.






Our internet connection has been off for several hours. That is almost as bad as having a power outage! I think I may need a new router. The one I am using is an old Wireless-B router that I bought on eBay.

David had planned a video call to Aunt Sissie but that had to be put on hold. He did get to wear his robot costume at another party tonight. I am sure Mom will post pictures now that we are back on line.

Attendance was almost overwhelming this year. There were hundreds and hundreds of kids. We ran out of hot dogs and chips. Someone went to David's Supermarket and bought all the weiners and buns that they had and they were all eaten also! The fellowship hall was packed. The parking lot was packed and the front lawn was packed. The hayride trailer was full for many trips around the block. I think the event was a success.

We topped off our gas tank while in Burleson this evening.

The weather forecast called for a light freeze north and west of the metroplex last night. This morning DFW was reporting 47 degrees (I wonder if they meant to say 37 degrees?). This was the reading on my thermometer.



There was ice in the bird bath and a heavy white frost on the grass in the pastures.
